Back At School

Well i am back at my trusty school and i am hoping i made alot of contacts i put my business cards in all the first years welcome packets and have been talking my self up, SO hoping to ring in some business because i NEED NEED NEED the money right now. luckily books are going to be cheap this semester maybe 200 bucks for 5 classes...so just a short update but its all i have the energy for.

Anticipation

Well now it’s just making sure all my ducks are in a row. I have everything ready for my 1030 party and waiting for my guest list for my 700 party and my party is looking naked….so I will see what happens…I am very organized and its apparent in my work and the way I carry myself. I was supposed to do pre-profiling with my sales director today and I got so sucked in to my work that I forgot to call her…so I called at like 730 and left a message. But I am all set and feeling very confident. Now if only my orders would come in and people would return my calls…..oh well its late and I have a feeling P will be calling me early….and the thunder wonderful…

wonderfuly busy day

I feel as if I have had a wonderful and productive day. I ran errands to dollar tree to get cotton balls and white out, then to Michaels to get cello bags which they DID NOT HAVE even though the girl on the phone said they did, so I got cute thank you cards and blank notes instead…then to office max where I got clear page protectors and PURPLE PENS so if someone takes my pen I know! Then final stop on my way home I got headbands…every facial needs a head band.
Then when I got home I made a few phone calls left a few voice mails. Then I CLEANED my room and I scrubbed bathrooms….I really needed to do this sometimes things just need to feel/smell clean. So then I went through my bags pulled my receipts and tossed the stuff I got to the side, got some envelopes and then on the envelopes wrote how many receipts I have in the envelope as well as the store names how much I spent the date and my initials. So for every day I shop for Mary Kay I have a record of how much I spent. Smart Cookie huh?
I also ordered my business cards and stamp set sadly BEFORE I set up my website so I will plug that here http://www.marykay.com/ayerhod1 you can now order online from me!!! So that’s exciting…but I ordered my business cards and reorder stickers and what not. I feel like I did a lot… tomorrow I think I’m going to vacuum the upstairs. Just to do something nice for mom and dad…

I just got a pink box...dot dot dot doo doo doo

so i got my first box of mary kay supplies!!! so exciting!!! i have enough stuff for 30 facials and a little bit of glamour...i.e.. makeup...tomorrow L and i are getting together and we are gonna put together my bag and kit and then go to a class...i am so excited...i got a pink appt book and everything i cant wait to fill out my business cards....i just am scared at how to get people here aug second i have 3 people 2 of which have def said yes and my mom and sister....so i mean thats 5 and my sisters mother in law thats 6 but they actually have to buy stuff for it to count! for me to get anything i would love to have TEN people at one of my parties then i get a coach duffle!!! wouldnt that be great...i have so much to read and learn...i am very excited.. i called P my director today and left a voicemail asking for her to help mem clear up some grey areas because i am a worrier...but if you read this and live near me let me know if you wanna come only real requirement is that you have skin...mary kay is a wonderful oppertunity to not only make money but lifelong friends and business connections....

friends help

today a wonderful friend decided to help me out with my business. He is going to send me a check with the money i am lacking. i am very greatful at this donatation and i am hoping that this work out. i am really gonna need to get the ball rolling on tuesday when i take the morning to make phone calls and get people invited to my partys...im so worried i wont have enough people show up and i will flop...i have one guest that is super excited...and def going to come but that could change between now and aug 2nd...so a little nervous i am working off litts experiance and lots of guts...im very excited to be able to call pam and say hey i will be able to have the small inventory...somethings better than nothing huh!

oh well another day another lesson i learn...i cant wait to get my bag on monday and i need to call pam or lisa for some clarity....as well self dont let you forget to make those phone calls....

Planning it all out....

i have my method for collecting my business receipts and my customer profiles....i have a one inch binder. and PENS of EVERY color...things that i need to be ready to have this business going with a kick start...now all i need is my Bag...which is my starter kit and my small inventory, which i dont have the money for yet. i have asked a friend of mine for the money...and maybe i can talk him in to a bit more if i throw in me paying him back! so thats where i stand tomorrow its all phone calls....! and we will see where it goes from there... Lisa my recruiter will be coming over in teh AM to make sure im on the right track and on tuesday she and i are going to a class! im so hyped up for this business i hope you enjoy me on the journey!
